For our 36th wedding anniversary, my husband and I travelled from out of town to celebrate. As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by a cozy and inviting ambience, and the incredible selection of food was truly impressive. It was delightfully overwhelming! We chose the buffet to enjoy a diverse range of dishes. While everything was enticing, I was particularly drawn to the lemon chicken, while my husband had his eye on the shrimp. The buffet also featured a fantastic array of Asian-inspired options, including noodles, rice, spring rolls, dumplings, and a carving station with roast beef. There’s something to please every palate, even the most selective eaters. And we can't overlook the dessert bar, which offered everything from mini cakes to ice cream with a variety of toppings—a perfect way to conclude a wonderful meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed, even during the busy hours. If you're searching for a venue to mark a special occasion, whether it's an anniversary or any other celebration, the Mandarin Restaurant is definitely worth considering.
Frosty Bubble Bliss truly lives up to its name, offering a delightful escape into a world of icy treats, and I can assure you, they do not disappoint! As soon as I stepped into Frosty Bubble Bliss, I was greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance. The menu is quite impressive, featuring a diverse selection of options. What sets Boba Tea from Frosty Bubble Bliss apart is their use of cane sugar in their drinks. While many other boba tea brands rely on refined white sugar, Frosty Bubble Bliss opts for all-natural cane sugar to sweeten their beverages. This choice not only elevates the flavor, making it richer and more nuanced, but it also presents a healthier alternative! My personal favorite at Frosty Bubble Bliss is the fruit teas. Overall, my visits to Frosty Bubble Bliss are consistently outstanding.
The atmosphere successfully combines elements of a café and a sports bar, providing both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The fish and chips I ordered included a generous serving of fish that was skillfully cooked. However, the children's menu seemed limited in choices and was somewhat pricey. Additionally, the restaurant is conveniently located near several attractions.
One of the things that sets the Halibut House apart from other seafood restaurants is their friendly and attentive service. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a warm smile and a friendly hello. They are also quick to check in on your meal to ensure everything is to your liking. I opted for the classic halibut and chips, naturally. The halibut itself was flaky, moist, and perfectly cooked. The batter was light, crispy, and not greasy at all – a crucial point for any good fish and chips. You could tell the oil was fresh and clean, which makes a world of difference. The fries were exactly what I hoped for- thick-cut, and golden brown. The restaurant itself is a no-frills, classic diner-style setup. It's clean, comfortable, and has a welcoming atmosphere. I found the prices to be reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. You definitely get your money's worth here. I highly recommend giving Halibut House a try. You won't be disappointed! We will visit again when back to Kingston.
